Message	or auto-x, you aren't focusing on your gauges. You're focusing on the course and your driving. Unless your gauge cluster is going to have audible alerts, I can't see how it would help in those conditions. Even if it flashes like crazy, I don't think it would be enough. Personally, I think having engine management that shuts down the car when certain unsafe conditions exist is more pertinent for track applications.
